This traditional Asturian house has been renovated with loving care and the finest attention to detail by its artisan owners.

The final result is two wonderful holiday apartments, totally independent from each other, with separate entrances and garden and terrace areas. Both are distributed over two floors, although one is fully wheelchair accessible (with ramped access doors on both levels, wheelchair accessible bathrooms on both floors).

The Open Plan First Floor

On the first floor is the main entrance to the apartment, leading into an open-plan kitchen-diner and livingroom with lovely picture windows overlooking native woodlands of chestnut and birch trees. (There are two sofa beds in the salon.) There is also a full bathroom on this floor.

On the ground floor, there is a spacious bedroom with full bathroom ensuite. From the bedroom there is access to the Asturian corridor, as well as an external doorway to the garden.

Early Morning Mists in Cabranes

In the beautiful, rural county of Cabranes, Asturias, Spain, the house is in a hamlet half a kilometre from the concejo capital of Santolaya where there are a couple of bars, shops, a pharmacy and a restaurant. The hamlet of Villanueva itself has only 8 houses and the peaceful tranquility allows you to hear the deer calling in the woods at dusk.

From here it is just over ten minutes drive to Villaviciosa, 20 to the beach at Rodiles, and 30 to Gijon.
